Description

This spectacular aged Western Australian ‘Back Vintage’ Pinot Noir 2012. It is medium bodied with raspberry and cedar notes together with subtle oak and earthy tannins.

The producer of this wine is a very small family operation with very little retail presence other than in restaurants and via cellar door. The family has shifted recently from wine making to truffle growing in the Manjimup area. They have never gone down the road of wine shows or rating by James Halliday preferring to keep it local and produce wines of exceptional quality. All wines produced are in small batches with love, care and respect for the grape.

Comments from Our Wine Buyer: This is a cracking aged Pinot from Manjimup in Western Australia. Some Pinot fans really love a bit of age and this one has it. The fruit flavors have held up very well in the bottle and the earthy notes are amazing. If you love an aged Pinot, then this is for you and is an amazing price at $15.00 per bottle. My Score – 93/100 WACC Gold Medal.
