Description

This 2013 Langhorne Creek Lagrein displays a deep plum color with aromas of dark red fruits, crushed violets and mulberry. The palate shows finesse in both fruit and structure, finishing long and dry. It is an awesome full bodied red wine that has benefited from good bottle age.

Founded in 1998, the producer of this wine has become recognised as a maker of world-class wines that represent great value in any global market.

Over the years the wineries pedigree has been confirmed again and again, as they have been awarded 20 trophies, 100 Gold medals and over 500 Silver, Bronze and other awards from competitions around the globe, as well as receiving critical acclaim from some of the world’s most influential wine writers.

The owners of the winery are Italian by birth and heritage and produce some of the best Italian grape variety wines such as Sangiovese, Graciano, Nero d’Ávola and many others.

Comments from OurWine Buyer Steve: Here is something completely new for you to try and its awesome! This 2013 Langhorne Creek Oddball Lagrein 2013 is beautiful and rich. If you have never tried one, then I suggest you give it a go. There is plenty of up front fruit flavours and a nice smooth tannin structure and its got some great bottle age behind it. It is a great food wine and I really enjoyed it with a rich pasta. This is my new winter red wine! And is a steal at $16.00 per bottle. The winery sells it for $25.00 per bottle.
