About The Wine

This spectacular Denmark Back Beach Riesling 2018 has gorgeous citrus fruit flavours and a lovely dry finish. The beautiful ripe lemon and lime flavours are complexed by the delicate floral characters, all balanced by its great natural acidity. With good mouth feel and palate weight and a long, clean finish, this is a great example of a delicate, dry, cool climate Riesling.

Comments from Wine Buyer Steve

I have tasted some very smart Rieslings from the Great Southern region of WA. The entire region including Mt Barker, Denmark, Frankland River and the Porongurups are really making some world class Riesling’s and I believe are now giving the Clare Valley in SA a run for their money for best Riesling producing region of Australia. When I tasted this 2018 vintage Denmark Sunsets Riesling I was stunned by its fresh and crisp minerality combined with luscious premium citrus fruit flavor. It is truly a beautiful dry Riesling. Score – 92/100 WACC Silver Medal.
