Description

Intense savoury raspberry from the Grenache, plum, chocolate and spice from the Shiraz, colour and structure from the Mourvedre. Rich, soft palate of warm red & black fruits, sweet spice & fine tannins leads to a rounded mouth filling & persistent finish.

The producer of this fantastic McLaren Vale Oddball GSM 2015 has a long history of producing awesome wines in McLaren Vale. They have been rated 5 Stars by James Halliday in his wine companion. The main vineyard was established in 1998 by a traditional Italian family. The Italian heritage and experience led the way for the families’ involvement with Australia’s agricultural industry. Initially, all the fruit was contracted. In 2004 the first wines were produced under the wineries label.

The philosophy was, and still is, creation of wines expressing purity of variety and regional character. They grow to the strength of the region, producing much sought after Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Comments from Our Wine Buyer: All I can say is wow! We have been very lucky to get our hands on the absolutely stunning GSM from McLaren Vale in South Australia. The wine is bursting with intense savoury raspberry from the Grenache, plum, chocolate and spice from the Shiraz, colour and structure from the Mourvedre. The winery recently picked a trophy for this wine at the Australian National Single Vineyard Wine Show 2016 and it is plain to see why.
