Description

This Coonawarra Back Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 has classic varietal notes of blackcurrant and red fruits with lifted mint. There is subtle toast and sweet spice derived from oak maturation. A generous, rounded palate featuring ripe dark berries, plum and dusty mulberry with a hint of regional mint.  Fine grained soft tannins add to the lingering attractive fruit and exceptional finish.
 
The winery that produces this Back-Vintage Cabernet 2010 is the pioneer of this variety in Coonawarra. The winery was founded in 1896 as the founding winery of the Coonawarra wine region. The winery over the years has become the best producer of Cabernet Sauvignon in this country. The winery has consistently been rated a perfect 5 red stars by James Halliday in his wine companion.

The winery has been at the forefront of exceptional Cabernet since it was founded in Coonawarra in 1896. The wine just oozes class and beautiful Cabernet characteristics of mint and blackcurrant. The vines that produced this Cabernet Sauvignon are a mixture of plantings from 1974 through to 1999.
