Description

This Western Australian 'Urban' Cabernet Merlot 2014 has a beautiful aroma of deep forest berries and a palate that is fresh, soft and fruity with firm tannin and elegant French oak supporting a lingering finish.

The producer of this Western Australian 'Urban' Cabernet Merlot 2014 is a small family operation located in the Geographe wine region of Western Australia. The winery is a total family affair with two generations involved in the operation of the vineyard, winery and cellar door. All the fruit used in production is 100% Estate grown and recent accolades have included a Gold Medal for their 2013 vintage Cabernet Merlot (which we also sold) from Wine Showcase Magazine.

The South West region enjoys a classic climate of warm sunny days and cool, crisp evenings due to its proximity to the Indian Ocean. The Mediterranean climate together with the gravelly loam soils and altitude from the Darling Ranges, provide a cool ripening season producing fruit of excellent quality.
